MCB
Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB)is an automatically operated electrical switch rated current not more than 100 A designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by excess current from an overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow after a fault is detected. Trip characteristics normally not adjustable with thermal or thermal-magnetic operation.
RCD/RCCB
Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB/RCD) is a device that instantly breaks an electric circuit to prevent serious harm from an ongoing electric shock. It is designed to disconnect the circuit if there is a leakage current.
RCBO
RCBO (Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent protection), is an electrical safety device that combines the functions of a Residual Current Device (RCD) and a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB). It protects against both earth leakage currents (which can cause electric shock) and overcurrents (which can cause overheating and fires).
SPD
Surge Protection Device (SPD) is an appliance or device designed to protect electrical devices from voltage spikes.
Busbar
Busbar is a metallic strip or bar, typically housed inside switchgear, panel boards, and busway enclosures for local high current power distribution in electric power distribution.
